Mohammad Nauman | Director - Blockchain Engineering Lab | Cell: 48 | Email: Express made the following annotations I hope AT&T management would look into this practice and address it as appropriate. AT&T staff had helped me setup auto-billing at the time of getting the phone and if they would have also explained about this paperless signup requirement, it would have saved me more than $800 in 5 yrs. Despite my ask from AT&T customer service twice to help reduce the monthly bill, this difference was never explained. While “legally” you may be compliant, I do believe this is an unethical and unfair business practice to make money. Understood you point about the difference in cost vs signup for paperless. Thanks for your response, I appreciate it. You didn't have paperless billing, therefore you didn't qualify for the discount. You do have to have paperless billing to get the discount. You don't have to pay to get a paper bill. The cost of paper billing and the eligibility for paperless billing discounts aren't related. AT&T Paper Billing is not available for AT&T CallVantage Service® subscribers." This service is available to you at no additional charge. This paper statement is easy to read, accurate, and provides you a variety of payment options and online access to your bill and account. "You can receive your bill in the mail directly from AT&T each month. AT&T Paper Billing is not available for AT&T CallVantage Service®.

Feel free to email me for more information. I believe I am entitled to this credit from the time I enabled autopay on my account and I would like to hear your perspective.

I even had online chat with customer service to understand my bill and visited at&t store for any suggestion to reduce my monthly bill payments but no one from AT&T ever suggested to change from paper to paperless to get this credit. If the paper bill is free and I have been making auto-payment, I believe, I should have been received this credit (up to $20 bill) from the beginning. While I have been received these paper bills, I never used them as I setup auto-payment from the beginning.

I don't remember if/when I enrolled in paperless billing as it was free (see the link below). I started getting this credit only from this month BUT I have been an AT&T customer for about 5 years now and as far as I remember I have been on autopay. One feature of the my plan is upto $20 credit for auto-payment & Paperless.
